[FANNETTSBURG], Pa. (2/12/2023) – METAL TOWNSHIP FIRE & AMBULANCE COMPANY, in a joint award, recently received a $100,000 grant through the Franklin County IMPACT! Grant Program. With this funding, the Metal Township Fire & Ambulance Co. will purchase 7 Motorola Portable Radio’s with multi frequency capability to enhance Emergency Response Communication with neighboring Agencies and

FREE EMT Class – This class is designed to support EMS agencies in rural areas of Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, and York counties in South Central PA. EMT Class reaching the Midterm
Metal Twp. Fire & Ambulance is hosting an EMT Class that is sponsored by the EHSF. This class was made possible by a Rural EMS Initiative Grant. We have 16 persons from across Franklin County participating. Companies represented are Greencastle, Waynesboro, Mercersburg, St. Thomas, Pleasant Hall, Fannett-Metal and Metal Twp. Training NEW Drivers!
This past Saturday and Sunday, 14 persons took the classroom and asphalt to complete there Emergency Vehicle Driver Training (EVDT) Class… otherwise known as EVOC. All passed and NO vehicles were injured! There may have been one or two cone casualties… Thank you to Bill Adams, Steve Sites and John Rowe for facilitating this class.
