Fire

This family can use some help so passing this along,

  •  Emma is 8.  She wears sz 8 pants and sz 8 or small tops, shoe size is 3.  Her 2nd grade teacher is Nikki Burdge.
  • Skye is 6.  She wears sz. 7 and sz 7 or small tops, shoe size is 2.  Her 1st grade teacher is Patti Smith
  • Michael is 3.  He wears sz. 5t or 6t pants and shirts and a size 13 shoe.
  • Zach is 11 and is wearing a size 12 husky pants and large shirts, not sure on shoe size.
  • Destiny is 9 and wears a size 10 pants and shirts and a size 3 shoe.
  • Justina wears a 15/16 adult pants or 17 missy and XL shirt.

We were able to speak with Justina today and get some more accurate information.  The trailer was not completely destroyed thank goodness, but due to smoke and water damage as well as holes having to be cut into various areas of the sides of the trailer, it will not inhabitable.  She had only lived in this location for a few weeks.  She said she looked at a place in Dry Run (The old Gold & Gray), but is it more house than she needs or can afford utilities for.  She could probably swing the rent, but just do to it's size the utilities would cost a fortune.  Ideally she can afford about $500 per month plus utilities.

The Red Cross provided her with a debit card for some of her immediate needs such as clothing and food.  She did get some clothing items and is staying with a family so food at this point is not a dire need.

Our thought is if we are able to find her a place with reasonable rent where the landlord would possibly waive the security deposit or allow it to be paid over a series of months, then perhaps the utilities can be paid for her for a few months from various sources.

Please continue to pray for this family and pray specifically for a place to live to become available quickly as what better gift would it be than for her to be settled with her children by Christmas.

Thank you for being a valley who cares for your neighbors,
