08/13/2010                                      Auto Fire/Auto Accident

 

 

 

 

Two calls for the day starting at 14:57 p.m. with an auto fire on the PA Turnpike with 21 units responding to 190.8 eastbound for reported vehicle fire,  PA Turnpike employees arrived on the scene prior to fire units arriving determined that fire was contained to the brake system and no service was needed from company 21.  Returned to service at 15:14 p.m.  Later that evening at 23:49 p.m. Company 21 units responded to the 5800 block Path Valley Road for a reported auto accident, units arrived on the scene with one auto off the roadway into a utility pole, patient was packaged and transported to the local medical facility by ambulance 21-8 with the remainder of the units returning to service at 00:25 a.m.

07/31/2010                                           Dwelling Fire

 

 

 

 

Company 21 units was called to 31000 block hollow road to assist Huntington County Company 14  with a reported dwelling fire at 14:45 p.m. Company 14 units arrived at the scene to find that homeowners had a food fire on the stove and that no service was need from Company 21 units placing our units available at 15:06 p.m.

07/23/2010                       Wires on Trees with Fire

 

 

 

Company 21 units responded to the 10000 block Pine Avenue at 21:57 p.m. for a reported tree fire due to wires units arrived on the scene the local electric company was contacted to take care of the wires with units going available at 22:15 p.m.

July 17, 2010                        LANDING ZONE

21-2 responded to the 4000 Block Path Valley Road at 12:13 p.m. to set up a landing zone for lifenet 8-1 to transport a patient from ambulance 21-8 to a local trauma center with units returning to service at 12:43 p.m.

July 9, 2010                      FALSE ALARM CALL

 

Company 21 units was called to 17000 Block New Bridge Road at 23:45 p.m. to assist Company 12 for a reported house fire units arrived on the scene  determined it was a false alarm with all units returning to service at 00:34 a.m.

Company 21 units was called to the 188.1 westbound of the Pa Turnpike for a reported brush fire at 13:28 p.m. while enroute Pa Turnpike called cancelling fire service with Company 21 units  returning to service at 13:48 p.m.

June 25, 2010                         AUTO ACCIDENT

 

 

Engine 21-2, Ambulance 21-8 responded to the 14000 block Path Valley Road reported auto accident at 21:01 p.m. units arrived on the scene took care of all roadway hazards before returning to service at 21:41 p.m.

June 24, 2010                    TREE ON WIRES

 

 

Company 21 was called to the 18000 block Fannettsburg Road East reported trees on wires at 13:51 p.m. units arrived on the scene to find one large tree blocking the roadway engine crew removed the tree from the roadway before returning to service at 14:27 p.m.

June 22, 2010                 AUTO ACCIDENT

 

 

21-2 and Ambulance 21-8 responded to the 11000 block Richmond Road at 05:10 a.m. for a reported auto accident units arrived on the scene to find that the vehicle had already left the location at which time Company 21 units returned to service.

June 14, 2010                    GARAGE FIRE

 

 

Company 21 units was called to the 15000 block Dogwood Drive, Ft. Loudon to assist Company 9 with reported garage fire next the residents at 13:39 pm. Company 9 arrived on the scene determined service was not need from Company 21 at which time all units returned to service at 13:50 p.m.

June 10, 2010                      AUTO ACCIDENT

 

 

Company 21 was called to 181.0 west bound Pa turnpike for a reported auto accident at 2:44 a.m. prior to units arriving on the scene pa turnpike personnel arrived on the scene determined no fire service was needed at which time 21 units returned to service at 2:55 a.m.

21-2 responded to the 2000 block Path Valley Road for a medical assist call at 15:11 p.m. returning to service at 15:36 p.m.

5/31/10             Pedestrian accident

 

Company 21  was called to the 19000 block Fannettsburg Road West at 2:39am  for pedestrian accident with subject lying in the roadway, units arrived on the scene.  Patients was air lifted to local trauma center, a landing zone was established at the Fannettsburg Community Center ball field for life net 8-1 with all units returning to service at 3:42 a.m.

Due to local heavy rainfall company 21 units responded to 12000 Path Valley Road and other local residents to pump water from  basements throughout the morning hours.

         Residential Fire Alarm and a Shed Fire

 

Two for the day At 16:17 p.m. Company 21 responded to 17000 Block Old Stumpy Lane for a residential fire alarm, units arrived on the scene to find no fire service was needed.  Co21 units returned to service at 16:35 p.m.

 Later in the evening at 17:30 p.m.  Engine 21-1 responded to 18000 Block Store Lane Fannett twp. to assist Fannett-Metal Company 12 on an outside storage shed fire, personnel arrived on the scene and assisted with overhaul before to returning to service at 19:15 p.m.

At 18:32 p.m. 21-2 alerted to set up landing zone for Life Lion at 14823 Path Valley Road at the Fannett Metal High School. to assist Company 12 with a burn victim as a result of an auto accident on the PA Turnpike. Returning to service at 19:31pm

At 14:32 a.m. Engine 21-2 responded to the intersection of Upper Strasburg Road and Lower Horse Valley Road to assist Company 11 with a reported auto overturned.  Units arrived on the scene to find one auto on its roof blocking west bound lane.  21-2 was on the scene for a short time assisting Company 11 personnel before returning to service at 4:50 a.m.

Tree on Wires

 

 

Engine 21-1 was called to Keefer Road in Letterkenny Township at 17:58 p.m. to assist Company 11 Pleasant Hall for reported trees down on wires with fire while in route command 11 arrived on the scene determined no serviced was needed from us so engine 21-1 returned to service at 18:22 p.m.

Engine 21-2 and ambulance 21-8 alerted  to the 2300 block Path Valley Road  at 8:14am for a reported auto accident, units arrived on the scene to find one auto side swiped a utility pole into an embankment on north bound shoulder, fire & EMS  personnel took care of patient refusal, traffic control, and all roadway hazards before returning to service at 8:55 a.m.

Company 21 was called to 10891 Poplar Avenue for reported mobile home fire at 04:00 a.m. units arrived on the scene to find a mobile home fully engulfed, due to the integrity of the structure an exterior attack was performed with the assistance of Company 12, Company 11, Company 18, Company 9, Huntington County Company 14, and air 53, units remained on the scene until 06:16 a.m. mopping up hot spots and overhauling.

Engine 21-1 responded  to Tell township, Huntington County on the Mountain Foot Road at 11:19 a.m. for a reported brush fire prior to our unit arriving on the scene Company 12 advised no service was needed from us therefore returning to service at 11:46 a.m.

Company 21 was called to the 3300 block Path Valley Road for a reported wood pile fire next to a structure at 2:20 a.m. Prior to units arriving on the scene the incident turned out to be a controlled burn, the property owner did not want the fire extinguished so all units was returned to service at 2:40 a.m.

Company 21 responded to 5500 block Fox Road at 14:01 p.m. for a reported mountain fire, units arrived on the scene to find approximately 3/4 to 1 acre burning.  Hand lines were advanced to the north and the south extinguishing the fire assisted by Company 18, Company 9, Company 12 personnel.  Units remained on the scene mopping up hot spots returning to service at 16:03 p.m.

While Company 21 units worked a house fire on Amberson Road the 21-02 box was sounded for a vehicle accident on Richmond Road at Acacia Trail.  Transfer engine 43 responded to the scene with Ambulance 21-8, 9-8 and Medic 118.  Units arrived to find two vehicles with 2 patients and 2 refusals.  Crew from Engine 43 assisted with patient packaging and controlled hazards.  Going into service a short time later

2 for the day in the morning at 4:10am 21.1 responded to the 16000 block MT. Green Rd. Fannett Twp. to assist Co. 12 with a reported auto fire next to a structure while in route co.12 units arrived on scene determined that no services were needed from us before placing our units in service 

 

Later that day at 16:04 pm Co. 21 units was called to the 3500 block Forbes Road Metal Twp. for reported chimney fire. Units arrived on scene  

Cleared the structure of any possible fire extension and cleaned the chimney of all hazards before returning to service

At 19:57pm 21-1 & 21-2 responded to the 200 block Skyhigh Rd. Peters Twp. to assist M.M.P.W. Co. 9 for a reported chimney fire while in route co. 9 units arrived on scene determined no service was needed from us there at the scene.  At which time 21-1 was then diverted to Co. 9 quarters to standby while  21-2 returned to service

Co. 21 was called to the 17919 Cedar Ave. at 5:11am for electrical fire in the dwelling units arrived on scene to find no fire but light smoke condition present crew from 21-1 disconnected the power and cleared the structure of any possible hot spots with the (Thermo Imaging Camera) T.I.C before returning to service at 5:40am
